Two minors arrested for being accused of business burglary


Two teenagers have been arrested after being accused of a business burglary that happened on Freret Street on Friday, July 22. A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old are being accused of smashing the window and stealing the cash register of J’s Creole Wings around 4 a.m. Owner Omar Duncan said, “I am a small business owner in the middle of a recession. Trying to build my business. This does not deter us. It just shows what is really going on in the city.”Duncan just opened up his third J’s Creole Wings a few weeks ago. He owns another along Claiborne Avenue and another along Gause Boulevard in Slidell, with three more locations to come.According to NOPD, the two teenagers are being accused of being involved in multiple burglaries across the Uptown area.
