Park Place Technologies Buys Riverstone Technology

Park Place Technologies is boosting its bread-and-butter hardware maintenance and support business with the purchase of Atlanta-based Riverstone Technology, marking the company’s third acquisition in 2022.

Park Place Technologies, ranked No. 60 on CRN’s 2022 Solution Provider 500 list, is a fast-growing global data center and networking optimization specialist. Founded in 2016, Riverstone offers third-party maintenance and support for storage, network and service devices with more than 475 customers across six continents.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition will bolster Cleveland-based Park Place Technologies’ software, hardware, and professional and managed services portfolio, said Park Place’s CEO Chris Adams.

“Bringing Riverstone Technology into our family will allow us to continue its third-party maintenance success while offering a full managed services portfolio to Riverstone‘s Technology’s customers,” said Adams in a statement.

Park Place Technologies Acquisitions In 2022

Riverstone Technology is Park Place Technologies’ third acquisition this year and twenty-first since 2016.

In March, Park Place acquired Reliant Technology, a fellow third-party maintenance, support and hardware provider based in Atlanta.

Reliant Technology provided maintenance and support for storage, network and server devices for nearly 500 clients in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. The company’s hardware inventory was added to Curvature, Park Place’s new and pre-owned hardware division.

In addition to its Riverstone Technology and Reliant Technology acquisitions, the solution provider bought Congruity360’s Storfirst software platform.

Park Place said Storfirst is the industry’s most secure, OEM- and platform-agnostic file system migration and information management software for cloud, hybrid cloud and on-premise. Storfirst allows customers to manage the movement of their data from production servers to disaster recovery servers, on-premise and to the cloud; the software enables customers to control the movement of all file data.

Park Place Technologies Growth

Park Place has grown from No. 97 on CRN’s Solution Provider 500 list in 2020 to now No. 60 in 2022, making it one of the largest solution providers in North America today.

This month, the company opened a brand new support and operations center in Cork, Ireland.

The new Ireland facility will accommodate Park Place’s growth, allow for employee expansion, and provide a meeting space for prospects and channel partners.

Park Place currently supports more than 21,500 organizations in over 170 countries with over 2,200 employees worldwide. The company has offices in Boston, Toronto, London, Wiesbaden, Helsinki, Aarhus, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Hyderabad, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.
