Former Senior Lifestyle Corp. VP joins Franciscan Ministries
Longtime senior living veteran Regina Umanskiy was recently announced as the newest leader of Franciscan Ministries following a nationwide search.
Umanskiy comes to Franciscan as the former Vice President of Operations and Integrated Solutions at Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle Corp. She was in her VP role for five years and also held positions included Assistant Vice President of Operation and three different Executive Director roles.
While there she helped oversee a 2,100 bed senior living portfolio of nine communities across six states. The communities ranged from skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers to indpendent living, assisted living and memory care units.
Umanskiy will succeed Judy Amiano, who announced her retirement earlier this year.
In her new role, she will oversee the Ministry, including Franciscan Communities, Franciscan Advisory Services and the philanthropic efforts of Madonna Foundation and St. Jude House.
The Springs Living promotes new president
Brenda Connelly is the new president of The Springs LIving to help lead all aspects of the organizaiton in partnership with founder and CEO Fee Stubblefield.
Connelly was selected after a year-long, nationwide search, and was most recently the chief reporting officer since August 2020 in which she helped lead a company-wide response to Covid-19.
She also led community teams to regain 6% of the total 8% occupancy lost during the pandemic, while meeting and exceeding lease-up targets for three communities that opened at the start of the pandemic. Prior to helping lead the Covid-19 response, Connelly was the company’s chief quality officer and director of community operations.
Connelly joined The Springs Living in 2010 as an executive director at a company community in Whitefish, Montana. Prior to that she started her career as a skilled nursing facility worker for nine years.
The Springs Living owns and operates 18 senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Two additional communities are under development in Happy Valley, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington.
In a recent interview with Senior Housing News, Connelly weighed in on how communities can help attract residents sooner, while also offering ways companies can offer intuitive online experieces for prospective residents.
Foulk Living in Wilmington, Delaware recently named Leslie Johnson as executive director for the community.
She will oversee operations and help improve resident care and staff collaboration. Johnson brings 13 years of senior living experience to the new role to the continuing care retirement community offering indpendent living, assisted living and memory care along with skilled nursing.
